Status of Pakistani Journals


The 2013 journal citation report has been released by Thomson Reuters which include over 10,000 journals from more than 83 countries. In this report 12 journals from Pakistan also received new Impact Factor (IF) and total number of citations report. The Journal Citation Reports give an idea that what is the status of the journal and what journal could be best for scientists to submit their manuscripts. The report includes journals not only from science but also from social science and humanities. The 2013 report includes 10,853 journal listings in 232 disciplines in 83 representative countries. A total of 379 journals received their first Journal Impact Factor. Additionally, 37 journals were suppressed due to questionable citation activity.
